The star of the show, for me, was this phenomenal 1955 Packard Caribbean, #13 of 500. The owner, an elderly gentleman, bought the car in 1977 for a few thousand dollars, and has driven it regularly ever since. I can attest to this, having seen the car driving around before.

There was also this dealer-plated Mercedes S65 AMG.

Kinja'd!!!

Or at least, it said it was an S65 AMG on the back, but a lack of the AMGs signature vents all over the front and the standard exhaust rather than quad pipes made me guess otherwise.

I was right. That little silver badge on the fender does not say "V12 Biturbo", as it would on a real S65. What it does say is "I'm a poser", because it's a "BlueEFFICIENCY" badge. Last I checked, even if you could order an S65 AMG with BlueEFFICIENCY, Mercedes' gas-misering equivalent of BlueMOTION for non-diesels, that would not be what the fender badge would say. So it has the AMG appearance package, and now the AMG badges, but it's likely just a standard S550. I sincerely hope whichever dealer that plate belongs to is not trying to sell it as an S65.

Next to it was this M5, decidedly not a rebadged 528i.

Must be a great getaway car.

I still like these.

'62 Impala SS 409 convertible. Me gusta.

This is not a car I would expect to make it 205,000 miles. This is a car I would expect not to start on the dealer lot when it was new. Oh well, good for the owner for keeping it running (and in good shape) for that long.

This thing was cool, but it looked very home-made and I have no clue what it started out as. Could be multiple cars. Also, that exterior shifter a) stuck way past the drivers seat, so it would be insanely hard to shift, & b) was a straight line, so it was likely an automatic.

Hard to get a good picture of your truck with you sitting there.

Even the Deluxe, the Corvair, the Jeepster, the T-bird, and the Kaiser are nothing compared to that Caribbean. DAYUM. The '57 Olds wagon is almost just noise in comparison, which is impressive.
